Meet Droma Yangzom la, the artist behind the Barkhor art, enjoyed painting since she was a kid and made the Barkhor painting in 2020. Droma la recalls how Barkhor looked in the city of Lhasa of her childhood. This sense of nostalgia was important to create this imagery as a means of preserving the art that was, as the city continuously changes.

Memory, thus, became a tool for Droma la to relive memories of Tibet. And hence the Barkhor Street Bag is a special limited edition tote bag which won’t be getting restocked once sold out. Similar to the artists attempt to preserve her memory, we also intend to maintain the authenticity of her art. Therefore only the first 100 customers can buy the tote due to limited circulation.
